The US Defense Department said that it has received a request from the Department of Health and Services to board immigrant children without relatives in Joint St, Antonio and Fort Place military based in Texas State.

According to a report published by CNN, Admiral John Kirby, a spokesman for the Pentagon, said the request submitted by the Department of Health and Services will be analyzed and evaluated as any other request for aid.

Kirby went on to say that he doesn’t exactly know the number of children that should be boarded and he will pay a field visit to St. Antonio.

This news came as the immigrant children unaccompanied with their relatives are still flowing to the southern borders of the USA.

US Federal laws stipulate children under age who are arrested must be delivered within 72 hours to the concerned agencies to take care of these children.

Officials of the Department of Health and Services seek to find a suitable place to board the minors unaccompanied by their relatives.

The officials convey the detained children to conference centers or reception emergency camps ahead of transferring them to facilities outside outposts of Border Guards.

The Department of Health and Services keeps now some 11.300 children.

Media reports revealed that patrols of Border Guards have arrested more than 11 thousand children over the period from February 28 to March 20.

There are  822 children who were detained by US Border Guards for more than 10 days.

According to these reports, Border Guards hold children unaccompanied by relatives for 130 hours on average despite the law stipulates that such children must be released after 72 hours.

The number of children held by the US Customs and Border Protection decreased to less than 9400 children.

On the other hand, US President Joe Biden has vowed, over his presidential campaign,  to find radical solutions to the crisis of the immigrants to the United States of America (USA).

Experts indicate that more than 11 million immigrants will benefit from these newly adopted policies.
