International Monetary Fund (IMF) experts confirmed that it will continue to hold discussions with the Ethiopian side in the coming weeks to reach an agreement on a set of economic reforms.
The IMF stated in a statement that the Fund's mission visited Addis Ababa to hold discussions on the authorities' request for IMF support for their reform program.
The fund explained that Ethiopia has taken steps to reduce inflation and stabilize the economy, including significant fiscal and monetary tightening, which contributes to the success of the local economic reform agenda.
The statement said that the Fund's mission made good progress in discussing how it could support the country's economic program.
