US President Donald Trump is planning a sweeping reshuffle if he is re-elected for a second term, "Politico" newspaper reported on Sunday.

According to informed sources, this reshuffle could include, in the first place, the dismissal of senior officials in the Ministry of Health and the CIA.

In this regard, those changes could see the departure of figures like the Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar, the Director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Robert Redfield, the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency Gina Haspel, and the Secretary of Defense Mark Esper.

Yet, US Attorney General William Barr, Treasury Secretary Stephen Mnuchin, and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will remain in their posts, according to the sources.

On the other hand, White House deputy press secretary Judd Deere said, “We have no personnel announcements at this time, nor would it be appropriate to speculate about changes after the election or in a second term.”

It is worth mentioning that, the 2020 US presidential elections are scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
