A low-intensity blast occurred near the Israeli embassy in New Delhi on Friday, as the two countries celebrate 29 years of India-Israel diplomatic relations.
“Nature of explosion is being ascertained. Some broken glasses at the spot,” ANI reported on Twitter. “No injuries reported; further investigation underway.”

Delhi Police said the blast appears to be a "mischievous attempt to create a sensation."
"The blast occurred at 5.05 pm and it was a low-intensity IED blast, and four-five vehicles were damaged," they added.
"A very low-intensity improvised device went off at 5.05 pm near 5 APJ Abdul Kalam Road near Jindal house,” the Delhi Police said in a statement. “No injury to any person is there and nor any damage to property was witnessed, except window panes of three vehicles parked nearby."

The blast occurred at a very high security area in the national capital, that is less than 2 km from Vijay Chowk, where the Beating Retreat ceremony is being held.
The ceremony is being attended by President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and many more.
A bomb disposal squad has been called in while fire tenders have reached the spot. Senior officials of the Delhi Police have also reached the spot.
Sources revealed that the explosion occurred about 150 meters from the Israeli embassy.
This comes on a day when India and Israel celebrate 29th anniversary of India-Israel diplomatic ties.
