IDSC Celebrates 40 Years of Achievements at Cairo Int'l Book Fair 2025

The Cabinet's Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) is marking its 40th anniversary by participating in the 56th Cairo International Book Fair, held from January 23 to February 5, 2025, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. 

The center’s participation comes under the theme "Illuminating Milestones: 40 Years of Achievements", showcasing its extensive contributions to decision-making and information dissemination.

The IDSC’s booth, located at B8 in the main exhibition hall, offers visitors a glimpse into its vast array of research and informational outputs.

The center has produced over 1,700 research publications through more than 20 periodic series, with 500 opinion articles published in 2024 alone, featuring contributions from over 400 experts and thinkers.

 These publications cover a wide range of topics, including economic trends, social development, environmental issues, and advancements in artificial intelligence.

The IDSC is also emphasizing its role in engaging with young Egyptians, highlighting the work of its Public Policy Forum, which has produced over 60 policy papers and 180 articles addressing critical topics such as entrepreneurship, freelancing, and platform labor.

Moreover, the center’s international audience can access English-language publications, including the *International Journal of Public Policy in Egypt*, which features research from both local and global scholars.

Among the IDSC’s latest releases is the "Description of Egypt with Information 2025", a comprehensive report offering detailed data on development indicators across Egypt’s governorates. 

This publication aims to provide policymakers with accurate and actionable insights to guide planning and decision-making. Visitors can also explore the IDSC’s digital initiatives, including videos highlighting its 2024 achievements, recent awards, and the "Hiwar" platform, which fosters communication between the government and citizens.

The IDSC’s participation at the Cairo International Book Fair underscores its commitment to fostering transparency, supporting informed decision-making, and addressing the nation’s most pressing challenges. As it celebrates four decades of achievements, the center continues to play a vital role in shaping Egypt’s sustainable development and future progress.
