The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) hosted a live broadcast of the Grand Egyptian Museum’s grand opening in Cairo, showcasing many of its rare artifacts displayed for the first time.
Before the broadcast, Egyptian Ambassador to Morocco Ahmed Nihad Abdel Latif expressed his gratitude to ICESCO and its Director-General Dr. Salim M. AlMalik for hosting the event and streaming the historic ceremony. He noted that ICESCO’s leading role in heritage preservation made it the ideal venue for the occasion.
Ambassador Abdel Latif described the museum as a bridge connecting civilizations and linking the past, present, and future. He emphasized that the Grand Egyptian Museum—the largest in the world dedicated to a single civilization—will serve as a center for cultural engagement that promotes knowledge, peace, and international cooperation.
