Veteran Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimović announced on Friday that he recovered from coronavirus and left the quarantine.
This means that will be able to participate AC Milan in the derby match against Inter Milan scheduled eight days later in Serie A.
"I am cured! Health authorities have informed me, the quarantine is over, and i can get out," The 39-year-old star wrote on his social media accounts.
On their part, AC Milan said that the two successive swabs, which have been taken from the Swedish striker were negative, and he could get out of quarantine, based on what the health protocol stipulated.
"AC Milan announces that Zlatan Ibrahimović has tested negative to two consecutive swabs," the Italian club said in a statement. "The City of Milan Health Authorities have terminated his quarantine."
Ibrahimović was quarantined after he had tested positive on September 24, four days after leading his team to its first league victory against Bologna 2-0.
