A total of 346 flights were canceled from January 22 until Wednesday morning as a cold wave and heavy snowfall have paralyzed air traffic in South Korea, according to the Korean news agency "Yonhap," citing the central headquarters for disaster and safety measures.

This wave has resulted in the closure of 27 regional roads and the cancellation of 59 passenger ship trips on 51 maritime routes, with no reported human casualties due to the cold wave and heavy snowfall.

The South Korean Meteorological Administration predicted that the western coast of South Chungcheong Province and the western parts of South Jeolla Province and North Jeolla Province would experience heavy snowfall until this morning.

Morning temperatures in the capital area of Seoul, central regions, eastern parts of North Jeolla Province, and inland areas of North Gyeongsang Province are expected to drop to 10 degrees Celsius below zero until the 26th of this month.

On January 22, the Ministry of Interior and Safety raised the warning level for heavy snowfall from "caution" to "alert."
