Humanitarian Crisis Deepens in Sudan Amid Ongoing Violations

Humanitarian conditions in Sudan remain extremely complex and deteriorating, despite recent announcements that international organizations have received assurances from the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) allowing humanitarian movement and aid delivery.

Sources on the ground indicate that these assurances—whether written or based on field-level understandings—have not translated into tangible improvements. Humanitarian teams continue to face severe security restrictions that hinder access to civilians, particularly in conflict-affected areas.

Humanitarian activists report that conditions are especially dire in cities under RSF control, where aid organizations face significant movement challenges and repeated violations against humanitarian workers. These obstacles have made it increasingly difficult to deliver assistance to vulnerable groups, including women and children, at a time when basic needs are rapidly increasing.

Several regions, including South Kordofan and the Darfur region, are experiencing critical humanitarian situations, with a notably weak response in areas such as El Fasher. The ongoing insecurity and lack of effective humanitarian access continue to exacerbate the suffering of civilians across large parts of the country.
