Huawei Signs Two Cooperation Protocols to Establish Training Academies in Egypt

Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications witnessed the signing ceremony of two cooperation protocols between the National Telecommunications Institute and Huawei Technology Company - Egypt, with the aim of cooperating together in establishing two academies.

The first academy will be established to build digital capabilities for youth and training in advanced technologies, and the other for training in fiber optic technology.

This joint cooperation aims to build the capabilities of about 18,000 young people throughout the Republic over a period of 5 years.

The first protocol stipulates cooperation in establishing the Egyptian Talent Academy to build the capabilities of students and graduates in Huawei’s training programs in advanced technology specializations for a number of up to 3,000 trainees per year for a period of 5 years. 

Under this protocol, Huawei grants a license to its branches and centers to operate as the Huawei Academy in providing training programs in a number of specializations, including: fifth generation technology programs, data networks, AI, cloud computing, big data, and other advanced technical specializations.

The company will also provide the necessary virtual tools for practical training on modern Huawei software. It is also committed to transferring technological knowledge and training the institute’s trainers by the company’s specialized experts.

While the second protocol stipulates the accreditation of the National Telecommunications Institute as a specialized academy to prepare Huawei trainers and provide training in fiber optic technology to a number of up to 1,000 trainees annually, through the institute’s headquarters and centers in the governorates for a period of 3 years.
