Hundreds of Pro-Palestine protestors coming from all ethnic backgrounds gathered and prepared to hold a vigil in the afternoon outside Downing Street London on the 18th of October 2023 to mourn on Wednesday evening to remember hundreds of people died at the Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza. Protestors held sign that read “stop bombing Gaza” and “stop the massacre”. Despite heavy rain at London protestors did not give up chanting “Free Palestine”. Who is responsible for the airstrike that remains unclear with Hamas and Arab countries blaming Israel for the disaster airstrike killing innocent people civilians including nurses, children and doctors.

Protestors also chanted “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free”. A British-Palestinian woman, who did not wish to be identified, said she was at the vigil to “mourn”. We are half-Palestinian. Our family are from the West Bank,” she said. Prayers were then held in Arabic in the evening Duas then translated English. Activists also chanted after prayer “Rishi Sunak shame on you” and “USA Israel how many kids have you killed today?”.

Heavy full of rain did not let the pro-Palestine protestors stop chanting outside Downing Street show their support for Palestinians organised by groups including Stop the War Coalition and Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC). It is expected that a March for Palestine to be held in central London this weekend. The march will set off at 12pm from Marble Arch. It follows thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters taking to the streets to march from the BBC’s New Broadcasting House to Downing Street.

When will this ongoing war of Palestine and Israel end? Only time will tell..
