Minister of Culture Ines Abdel-Dayem and Chairman of the Cairo Opera House Magdy Saber will open the 29th Salah El-Din Citadel Festival for Music and Singing on Sunday.
The sixteen-day event will include 31 various concerts. Twelve artistic figures who contributed to enriching the artistic scene in Egypt and the Arab world will be honored during the 29th edition, in addition to those who participated in making the success of the previous editions of the festival.
Pianist Amr Selim, Amjad Al Atafi, Reem Kamal, Dalia Farouk, and Khaled Shahdi will be honored in the festival. The festival will also introduce the first Egyptian and Arab to reach the famous competition program, American Got Talent, Recorder Beatbox Medhat Mamdouh.
A number of singers, such as Ali El Haggar, Hany Shaker, Hisham Abbas, Jannat, and Medhat Saleh will bless the festival. Moreover, young stars, including Dina El Wedidi, Ahmed Gamal, Mai Farouk, Carmen Suleiman, Nesma Mahgoub, Mohamed Mohsen, and many more will perform.
