How to choose the right jewelry piece that you can own, adorn, and fit you has always been a question that baffled many women.

Egyptian jewelry designer Heba Arteen shared with “SEE” her latest collection, which consisted of jewelry made of gold, silver, diamonds, and gemstone.

Arteen is known for her very sophisticated, elegant, and wonderful designs. The designer is a graduate of the Art Education faculty and integrates talent and education with craftsmanship.

She recommended when choosing jewelry pieces to go for designs that have an artistic touch.

* Various stones

Arteen noted that: “People are bored this year, so they need things that have happy colors and stones as well as to have energy, funny and liveliness, this is why I used many stones, such as the Amethyst, which I love, and the pearl,”.

“I used diamonds in one piece, and also the zircons, but limitedly, I like to rely more on natural stones,” she added.

* Trend 2021

Arteen underlined her love for silver, which she believes to be an endless trend, but in this collection she also used gold.

The trend this season is the colors of gold, golden, rose cold, and white gold, which is why the designer painted pieces based on different colors of gold.

*Sheftshy craft

Sheftshy is a very special type of metal-craft, through which the piece of metal becomes like a piece of thin lace and it needs skilled craftsmanship.

Arteen stated that the number of those who practice the craftsmanship is very limited, noting that there are no longer generations left or willing to learn.

The designer was educated by an Armenian foreigner called Krikor Arteen, who was the one who gave her his family name because she studied under him. He taught her wholeheartedly after she proved her love and passion for the field.

She nominated the Sheftshy to buy a piece of silver wrought with love, adding: “Sheftshy is a great handcraft. I make with it modern rings in modern designs, it is very distinctive”.
