In a statement released on Thursday evening, the Houthi group, known as "Ansar Allah," announced their naval forces targeted the US vessel "Kim Regner" in the Gulf of Aden with sea-launched missiles, asserting a direct hit.

The spokesperson for the Houthi forces stated, "The naval forces of the Yemeni armed forces carried out an operation targeting the American ship (Kim Regner) in the Gulf of Aden using appropriate sea missiles, and the hit was direct by the grace of God."

The statement further emphasized that the Yemeni armed forces are poised to respond to American and British aggressions, affirming that any new assault will not go unanswered or unpunished.

The spokesperson also clarified the ongoing navigation movement in the Arabian Sea and the Red Sea to all global destinations, excluding ports in occupied Palestine. The statement reinforced the continuous ban on Israeli navigation or vessels heading to ports in occupied Palestine until the aggression ceases and the siege on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip is lifted.

The release concluded by underlining the Yemeni armed forces' commitment to continue their defensive and offensive measures as a legitimate right to defend the dear Yemen and to support steadfast brothers in the Gaza Strip.
