The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts hot weather to prevail in Cairo, and Lower Egypt, during daylight hours on Monday.

Moderately hot weather is expected to hit the North Coast and Central Sinai, while South Sinai, Upper Egypt, and Red Sea Mountain trail to experience scorching conditions.

Meteorologists also predicted that there will be a decline in temperature from the north of the country to Cairo and North Upper Egypt.

Wind will occur occasionally in the North Coast and Upper Egypt.

Moderate weather is also predicted to prevail across the country, at night.

The country is currently experiencing a heat wave due to the Indian seasonal thermal depression, a phenomenal condition that raises the humidity levels and increases the feeling of heat.

Egypt will witness an increase in temperatures until Monday, June 13.

Cairo, South Sinai, and other Southern cities will experience hot conditions during the day, while moderate weather prevails across the country, at night.

The heat wave is also affecting Middle Eastern countries such as Kuwait, Iraq, and the Arabian Peninsula, leading to a rise in temperature.

However, the heat wave will be less severe in Egypt than in other countries in the Middle East due to the state’s geographical location.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 34°C in Cairo, 29°C in Alexandria, 28°C in Marsa Matruh, 42°C in Sohag, 44°C in Qena, and 46°C in Aswan.
