The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expected hot weather in Cairo and Lower Egypt and very hot weather in South Sinai, north and south Upper Egypt during daylight hours on Thursday.

The mist will impact visibility in the morning in some parts of the country.

Meteorologists also predict that moderate rains, sometimes thunderstorms, will prevail in areas of the southern Red Sea mountain trail.

Meanwhile, pleasant weather will prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the northern coasts, at night.

On the other hand, the weather will be more moderate along the southern Upper Egypt and South Sinai nighttime.

In a statement on Wednesday, Wahid Seoudi, EMA spokesperson, warned that the temperature rises above normal levels during this time of the year, which is set to continue until at least next week, stressing that this weather is normal during the fall.

As for the reason for this rise in temperatures, Seoudi stated that the country was affected by the easterly to southeast winds coming from the Arabian Peninsula.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 32C in Alexandria, 36C in Cairo, 39C in Qena, 40C in Luxor, and 41C in Aswan.
