The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has forecast continued hot weather across most parts of Egypt on Sunday, with temperatures expected to keep rising gradually throughout the week.

According to the authority, daytime conditions will range from hot to extremely hot across much of the country, while northern coastal areas will experience milder weather. Temperatures are expected to become cooler during the night, especially in northern regions.

The weather authority also warned of morning fog affecting several roads connecting northern Egypt, Greater Cairo, the Canal cities, northern Upper Egypt, and central Sinai. Fog may become dense at times in some areas, potentially impacting visibility during early morning hours.

Strong winds are also expected across different parts of the country, with dust and sand carrying winds forecast in parts of northern Upper Egypt, the New Valley, and South Sinai at intermittent periods.

Cairo and the Nile Delta are expected to record highs of 33 degrees Celsius and lows of 19 degrees. Northern coastal regions are forecast to see temperatures around 28 degrees during the day and 18 degrees at night.

In South Sinai and the Red Sea mountain areas, temperatures are expected to reach 34 degrees, while northern Upper Egypt could climb to 36 degrees. Southern Upper Egypt is forecast to experience the highest temperatures in the country, reaching up to 39 degrees Celsius.

The authority added that temperatures are expected to rise further between Monday and Friday, with increases of two to three degrees across most regions. Highs in Greater Cairo and the Nile Delta are expected to range between 33 and 34 degrees, while southern Egypt could see temperatures between 35 and 41 degrees Celsius by the end of the week.

Morning mist and active winds are expected to remain the main weather phenomena during the coming days as the heatwave continues through Friday.
