The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts hot and humid weather will prevail in most of the country during Thursday's daylight hours.
Extremely hot weather is also expected to prevail in the south of the country.
The weather will seem hotter due to the high humidity levels, which will push up the heat index by 1-2 degrees.
The country also witnesses mist, extending into fog, on the agricultural and highway roads from the north of the country to Cairo, Canal Cities, Central Sinai, and North Upper Egypt.
Wind speeds between 25 and 35 kilometres per hour (km/h) are expected to occur occasionally in Cairo, South Upper Egypt, and South Sinai.
Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience low to moderate waves, ranging between 1 and 1.5 meters in height with northwest surface winds.
Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to turbulent, ranging between 2 and 2.5 meters in height with northwest surface winds.
Moderate and humid warm weather is also expected to prevail in most parts of Egypt at night and in the early morning.
Moderately hot weather is also expected to prevail in South Upper Egypt.
The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 35°C in Cairo, 30°C in Alexandria, 28°C in Marsa Matruh, 41°C in Sohag, 44°C in Qena, and 46°C in Aswan.
