Gen. Galal Hareedy, chairman of the "Homat Watan" political party, unveiled details of the Egyptian convoy that arrived in the Gaza Strip today, Friday.
He pointed out that convoy comprised more than 75 lorries loaded with tons of foodstuffs and medical supplies.
The chairman of the party said over statements today, that the party's initiative was launched as a present of humanitarian aids offered by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to the Palestinian people.
He explained that the convoy was prepared by efforts of a coalition comprises Da'am Misr ( Egypt's Support), which includes the "Homat Watan", "Mostqbal Watan", and Coordinator of the Parties Youths and AlSha'ab Al-Gumhoury political party.
On his part, General Osama El Guindy, first deputy of the chairman of the "Homat Watan", said that the convoy was accompanied by representatives of all participant parties.
He added that Egypt is the senior sister of Gaza as she is ready to help the Strip because this a historic matter and is not new for Egypt, her people, and her political leadership.
Maj. Gen. Tariq Nosier, General-Secretary of the "Homat Watan" party unveiled over a statement the names of the six lawmakers who accompanied the convoy to the Gaza Strip.
Those lawmakers are Ahmed Bahaa, Ahmed Yahiya, Miral Harreedy, Neiven Abdullah, Roqayah Abdel Aziz, and Hesham Soyleim.
In the name of the party, Nosier praised the decision of ceasing the fire in Gaza sponsored by Egypt.
Nosier made clear the party tasked its representatives in North Sinai Governorate to receive the convoy and accompany it to the borderline with Palestine in cooperation of the Secretariat of the Arab Tribes at the party and Afayez Abu Harab and Ibrahim Abu Shaerah, two lawmakers of the party.
Dr. Ahmed Al Otayfy, Secretary of Organizing at the party, affirmed that the secretariat of the party in North Sinai Eng. Haytham Rahmy, was directed to receive the convoy with the lawmakers.
Members of the secretariat of the governorate visited hospitals that received the injured people from Gaza to secure the needs of the patients and hospitals.
Al Otayfy pointed out all corporeal and moral support was provided to the injured people in the hospital.
