Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy will reprise their roles as the Sanderson Sisters in live-action comedy sequel to Disney's 1993 Halloween classic movie "Hocus Pocus".
On Thursday, Disney+ streaming service announced the sequel will be released in 2022.
"The Proposal" filmmaker Anne Fletcher will be taking over directing duties from Adam Shankman, who previously was set to direct and remains as an executive producer.
"Hocus Pocus 2", which begins production in the fall, sees three young women accidentally bring the Sanderson Sisters back to modern-day Salem. They must stop the child-hungry witches from creating a new kind of havoc on the world.
Plans for the sequel were first reported in 2019.
