Highest since 2018 .. Egyptian Bourse Sees Record Trading

The green color overshadowed the Egyptian Stock Exchange indices at the end of the trading session on Wednesday - the end of the week's trading - recording a new historical level, the highest level since May 2018, with the support of Arab and foreign purchases.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange "EGX30" rose during today's session by 2.13% to close at 16,791 points.

While the index of medium and small companies "EGX70 EWI" rose by 1.68% to end the session at 3031 points.

The broader EGX 100 EWI rose by 1.71% to close at 4,534.2 points, while the EGX50 EWI increased by 2.05% to close at 2924.35 points.

The market cap increased during today's session by EGP 18.99 billion to close at EGP 1.082 trillion.

Up to 496 million shares were traded during today's session, with a trading value of about EGP 2.55 billion through 75,170 transactions.

In terms of investor transactions, foreigners' transactions tended towards buying, recording a net value of EGP 151.02 million.

Arab investors' dealings in stocks tended to buy, recording a net value of about EGP 132.44 million pounds, while Egyptians tended to sell shares, recording a net value of EGP 283.47 million.
