Turkey’s government is set to receive a high-ranking delegation from Egypt on Tuesday in order to repair broken ties with key regional powers.

In a step intended to enhance their dialogue, Turkish authorities will hold a second summit and working-level meetings with the Egyptian government on cooperation matters.

The recent talks follow earlier efforts by Turkey to ease tensions with Egypt, with a delegation from Cairo due in Ankara on Tuesday.

It's worth mentioning that the first summit, held in Cairo in May and further closed meetings have calmed tensions that fueled conflicts including Libya's war, officials and politicians say, after years of animosity.

The two sides will hold talks on specific issues in the presence of a number of high-ranking officials including ministers and government officials concerned.

Despite their political differences, the two countries are expected to focus on building economic ties and de-escalating, rather than resolving, an ideological rift that has drawn a fault-line through the Middle East.
