Hezbollah has announced a series of military operations targeting Israeli forces and vehicles near Beaufort Castle in southern Lebanon, as fighting continues along the border region.
In a series of statements, Hezbollah said it targeted a Merkava tank with a suicide drone near the historic fortress. The group also claimed it shelled a concentration of Israeli troops with artillery fire and struck a military vehicle in the same area.
The organization later reported carrying out a missile attack against another gathering of Israeli soldiers before announcing a second drone strike on a Merkava tank, claiming the vehicle was completely destroyed.
The claims have not been independently verified, and no immediate confirmation was issued by the Israel Defense Forces regarding the reported attacks.
The incidents come amid escalating clashes between Hezbollah and Israeli forces in southern Lebanon, alongside continued Israeli airstrikes and military operations across several border areas.
The area surrounding Beaufort Castle has become one of the focal points of the ongoing confrontation, which has intensified as regional tensions continue to rise.
