The Lebanese Hezbollah announced that its fighters attacked Israeli army positions and gatherings of its soldiers in the eastern and western sectors of southern Lebanon yesterday.
A statement issued by Hezbollah said that "yesterday, Sunday, fighters of the party bombed Israeli army positions in Dishon with missile weapons, hitting them directly.
The statement added that the Lebanese fighters targeted an infantry position of Israeli army soldiers in the Hounin Castle (the occupied Lebanese village of Hounin) with appropriate weapons."
The party's statement its fighters targeted the Israeli settlement of Avivim (the occupied Lebanese village of Salha) with appropriate weapons and hit one of the residential buildings, leading to confirmed casualties.
The party's statement stressed that recent attacks came as a response to the repeated Israeli attacks on villages and civilian homes, in addition to targeting the Israeli site Al-Dhahira.
Field sources from southern Lebanon reported to “Sputnik” that the Israeli army targeted with heavy artillery the outskirts of the towns of Naqoura and Aita al-Shaab in southern Lebanon.
Israeli warplanes also launched an air strike on the town of Markaba in southern
Lebanon and bombed the center of the town of Rab Thileen, without causing casualties.
