France and Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry said that Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema is better than Liverpool star forward Mohamed Salah.
Salah is having an amazing run with Liverpool this season, having scored 12 goals in 11 games he featured in and provided four assists.
However, Henry disagrees, claiming that the likes of Karim Benzema and Robert Lewandowski are performing better on both the club and international stage.
This year with the European giants, Benzema managed to score 11 goals and assist another eight in 11 appearances so far across all competitions.
“Not yet,” Henry said in response to Carragher’s claim on CBS.
“The goals that he is scoring, at the moment, are very good. But how can you forget about Lewandowski? How can you forget about Benzema? How can you forget doing it at the national level also?” he added.
“Right now, he’s suffering a bit with Egypt. It’s not easy. But he’s not doing in there yet. But those goals are ridiculous. I love Salah. But he’s not yet the best.
“Is he the best player right now in the Premier League? By a distance. On current form are you not putting Benzema there right now, with the way he is playing? What he is doing for France and at the Euros? It’s not that clear, for me.
After these comments, Henry faced more opposition after controversial Mohamed Salah comments.
