A few minutes ago, Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) President Mohamed Hefzy revealed the number of tickets sold.
Hefzy revealed, "more than 30.000 tickets were sold. Many film screenings were sold out events." It means that the number of sold tickets is 20% lower in comparison to last year.
Moreover, the director explained that there were five venues in Cairo Opera House in addition to 2 venues at Odeon Cinema.
Due to COVID-19, only 50 percent of the capacity of the venues was used; so a lot of people did not attend some film screenings.
