Cairo and Giza governorates are experiencing unstable weather conditions throughout the day. Low and medium-level clouds have been increasing in the skies over Cairo and Giza since the early morning hours, accompanied by strong winds and varying intensities of rain, becoming heavy in some areas.
Manar Ghanem of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority confirmed that the unstable weather and rain will continue in Cairo and Giza throughout the day due to the influence of a rain-bearing low-pressure system extending from the north of the country. This system is causing the formation of rain clouds for most of the day, with varying intensity of rainfall from one area to another.
Manar Ghanem added in media statements that there is a decrease in the maximum and minimum temperatures today, between 4 and 5 degrees, as cold and cloudy weather prevails during the daytime and very cold at night. This coincides with the approach of the beginning of winter, as the country is affected by cold air masses coming from southern Europe, which are causing a decrease in temperatures during today's weather and the coming days, as the state of instability is expected to continue for about the next 48 hours.
