Heatwave Set to Peak Thursday and Friday in Egypt

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts that the country will continue experiencing a rise in the temperature on Thursday.

Extremely hot and humid weather is also predicted to prevail in most parts of the country.

Hot and humid weather is expected to hit in the North Coast.

Wind will be active occasionally across the country from the north of the country to Cairo.

The country will also witness mist on agricultural and highway roads to Cairo, Lower Egypt, Canal Cities, North Coast, and Central Sinai.

Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience low to moderate waves, ranging between 1 and 1.75 meters in height with northwest surface winds.

Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1 and 1.75 meters in height varying between northwest and southwestern surface winds.

Moreover, most parts of the country will experience moderately hot and humid weather at nighttime.

Moderate and humid weather is also predicted to prevail in the North Coast.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 40°C in Cairo, 33°C in Alexandria, 32°C in Marsa Matruh, 43°C in Sohag, 43°C in Qena, and 45°C in Aswan.
