A large number of countries are currently encountering a heatwave, accompanied by dust and sand.

These harsh climate conditions may irritate the skin and sinuses, and other heat-related illnesses as well as lead to sunstroke.

In this guide, we help you better plan and cope with a heatwave so that you can stay cool and safe.

* Water

As temperatures rise so does the body temperature as well as the pressure decreases, causing dizziness and loss of balance.

Therefore, doctors advise taking a lukewarm shower daily to moisturize the skin of the body and balance blood pressure.

While you are outdoors, you can keep a water sprayer in your bag to spray water onto your face and around your body.

It is also important to take a bottle of water while going outdoors.

* Fruits and vegetables

To maintain an appropriate body temperature, the body compensates by obtaining internal hydration from the body.

It is recommended to consume hydrating fruits such as watermelon, grapes, apples, summer orange, cantaloupe, and other hydrating fruits.

Moreover, drinking fresh lemon juice and eating a salad dish rich in lettuce, cucumber, and tomatoes aids the body’s hydration system.

It is also important to have low-fat food during the day to supply the body with energy.

* Sun safety

Too much exposure to UVB rays can damage the outermost layers of your skin.

Doctors recommend getting outdoors early before nine in the morning or after six in the evening.

It is advised to wear light and loose cotton clothing to provide the body with air circulation as well as don long-sleeved clothing to prevent sun exposure and infections.
