A report issued by the Ministry of Health and Population monitored the state's efforts to launch the "100 Million Health presidential initiative to detect hepatitis C and non-communicable diseases, from October 2018 to April 2019.
A presidential directive was issued to continue the initiative for middle school students for 5 years to come.
And the initiative contributed to reducing the rate of new infections with the virus by more than 92% annually, and more than 90 million citizens were examined at the level of the Republic.
The initiatives under the umbrella of "100 Million Health" include the launch of the early detection and treatment of liver cancer initiative in March 2022, which is an extension of the initiative to detect hepatitis C and non-communicable diseases.
The efforts of the 100 Million Health Initiative aims to
eliminate waiting lists for critical interventions in July 2018, for EGP 12 billion so far, 1.4 million citizens have been registered on the system and 1.4 million citizens have been treated.
