Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Hala Zayed, announced the launch of the President’s initiative to treat chronic conditions under the slogan of (100 Million Healthy Lives) to support and encourage patients with chronic diseases.
The patients will then continue their treatment safely in hospitals, health units and medical centers.
The Health Ministry will, in addition, send medical convoys in all governorates of the Republic.
The Minister revealed that the Presidential Initiative will be in effect next week in 8 governorates, starting with (Cairo, Giza and Qalubia) tomorrow, Saturday, then (Fayoum, Menoufia, Sharqia, Alexandria and Beheira) within the next week.
Noteworthy, Director-General of World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom praised President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s initiative of “100 Million Healthy Lives”.
“This initiative has a significant impact not only in Egypt, but in the African continent as a whole.”
WHO boss said, in an exclusive interview to “Extra news” TV channel , that the organization is seeking to disseminate the Egyptian health initiatives.
“We have to educate the community and raise awareness of disease prevention,” he added.
