The Ministry of Health and Population said that the Coronavirus vaccine is safe for pregnant and lactating women, stressing that vaccines are available in all centers for free.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the ministry urged citizens to get the COVID-19 vaccine, which contributes to protecting family members from severe infection.
Moreover, it stressed that the Egyptian state spares no effort in providing free COVID-19 vaccines to all citizens, as part of the ministry's keenness on the public health and the state's gains in addressing the pandemic.
It is worth mentioning that, Health ministry announced Saturday that last week the average number of daily COVID-19 infections reached 89 cases, while the average daily death toll was six new cases.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, Hossam Abdel-Ghaffar, said in a statement that the average daily number of people recovering from coronavirus last week reached 100– bringing the total number of people recovering from the virus so far to 444,703
The number of people fully vaccinated against the coronavirus is now up to 34,073,986 people.
