Health Min. Asserts Vaccinating School Students with Pfizer

The Ministry of Health asserted that all school students and children aged 15 years old with Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, media agencies reported on Wednesday.

Authorities also affirmed that the vaccine is safe and effective, in addition, it can protect from the virus.

However, it is able to reduce the rates of serious symptoms, and death risks in case of any vaccinated person contracts the virus.

Regarding the side effects of the vaccine, they are fever, exhaustion, and a sore in the place of injection.

In the same context, the Ministry of Health revealed that Egypt is still passing through the climax of the fourth wave of the pandemic, in addition, there are several factors that control the rates of infections such as weather, the application of protective measures, and the percentage of vaccinated persons.

It is worthy to mention that Egypt reported 921 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, bringing the country’s total up to 339,335.

The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 19,186 nationwide after the ministry announced 56 deaths.

About 619 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 284,366.

The country’s fourth wave of the virus is in full force, with daily cases seeing a tenfold increase than what was recorded at the end of July.
