The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in Egypt revealed that a relative increase in the number of daily infections with Coronavirus (known also as COVID-19) was reported.

The ministry issued a statement saying that the whole world is witnessing the same increase in infections with COVID-19.

The statement added that the peak of infections is expected to decline during the second half of November. It indicated that the state provides all vaccines for Corona free of charge, pointing out that vaccinating large numbers of citizens contributes to reducing the death rate, revealing that Egypt has got more than 70 million doses of Corona vaccines.

On the other hand, Dr. Hossam Hosni, head of the Corona Scientific Committee at the Ministry of Health and Population, assured that the Pfizer vaccine was approved for children, which has been recently got a nod by the American Food and Drug Administration( FDA).

Hosni said there is nothing to prevent anyone from taking the vaccine unless he is allergic to the vaccine.

He explained, that in this case, you should consult your physician.

He said, that each wave of the Corona pandemic shows different strains so experts cannot predict the emergence of other strains, affirming that the symptoms are similar, and experts can’t try to prevent the patient from entering into complications, especially since the symptoms affect patients with chronic diseases.

He added, that only one vaccine has been approved globally for children to prevent Corona, which is Pfizer, pointing out that the Egyptian experts are studying this type of vaccine for use in children.

He affirmed that experiments and studies have proven that the Corona vaccine made by Pfizer is safe for pregnant and lactating women and that it is better to vaccinate pregnant and lactating women with the Corona vaccine, saying that the Corona vaccine protects children against seasonal influenza during the first 6 months of birth.
