Health Min. Launches Medical Teams in Villages, Hamlets to Vaccinate People against Corona

The Ministry of Health and Population announced that more than a million citizens were vaccinated with the three doses (first, second, and refresher) of the anti-Coronavirus vaccines, as part of the “Knock on Doors” campaign, which was launched from Menoufia Governorate on February 8, and began in the governorates of (Fayoum, Minya, Sohag, Qena, Luxor and Aswan) on March 6.

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the ministry, indicated that 2,080 medical teams (nurses, rural pioneers, and data entry operators) have spread in the villages and hamlets of the targeted governorates to reach citizens and provide the service by registering on the ministry’s vaccine registration website, and vaccinating them.

Abdul Ghaffar added that the medical teams, accompanied by 2,500 health education teams, pass by citizens' homes, bus stops, popular markets, schools, industrial areas, bodies, and institutions, to ensure the vaccination status of citizens in these places, noting that the work of these teams starts from eight in the morning and continues until six in the evening.
