Ministry of Health and Population Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said on Tuesday that Egypt managed to provide all types of internationally-approved coronavirus vaccines.
"This came within the framework of the country’s plan to persify and expand the provision of COVID-19 vaccines," the ministry added in a statement.
The spokesman also urged citizens to get their shots against COVID-19 to keep the pandemic under control.
It is worth mentioning that, on Sunday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 723 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the country’s total up to 387,882.
The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 21,817 nationwide after the ministry announced 20 deaths.
About 612 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 322,180.
