Head of Shanghai International Studies University Visit Arab League

Ambassador Dr. Khaled Manzalawi, Assistant Secretary-General and head of the International Political Affairs Sector of the League of Arab States, received on 23 February Ms. Yin Dongmei, President of the Council of Shanghai International Studies University and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the China-Arab Reform and Development Studies Centre.

The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the General Secretariat and the Centre across various domains, particularly in academia, human resources development, and translation. 

Given the Centre's pivotal role within the framework of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum, the discussions highlighted its significant contributions, including the organisation of study visits, specialised training courses, and capacity-building programmes for Arab professionals in Shanghai on an annual basis.

The two sides formalised their collaboration through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States and the China-Arab Reform and Development Studies Centre to enhance academic cooperation and advance human resources development.
