Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Politburo of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) is paying an unofficial visit to Morocco over Wednesday/ Thursday night.

He met with Dr. Saadeddine Othmani, General-Secretary of  Justice and Development Party (JDP).

It is worth noting that the visit paid by Haniyyeh is a partisan one that is ranked as the exchange of partisan activities of Hamas and the JDP of Morocco.

The visit resembles other activities of the Moroccan parties that communicate with their counterpart abroad.

During his reception of Ismail Haniyeh, Dr.  Saadeddine Othmani indicated that his party’s invitation Hamas delegation to visit Morocco, comes within the framework of the fixed stance of the king, government, and people of Morocco to support the Palestinian people and their struggle until attaining their rights and establishing the independent state with its capital in Al Quds El Shrief (known in the Western sources as Jerusalem).

Saadeddine Othmani pointed out that this visit was scheduled six months earlier.

He added that Morocco considered the Palestinian cause as its cause that was proved by rallies attended by millions and the ongoing activity of the fiscal house of Al Quds in addition to stances of his Highness King Mohamed VI of Morocco, my Lord support him, that refuse Trump peace plan and  Judaization of Al Quds.

The King’s stances prove the pivotal role played by Morocco to support the Palestinian cause.

On his part, Ismail Haniyeh said that his visit to Morocco, accompanied by a delegation of Hamas, canes in the shadow of the royal auspice and sympathy of the Moroccan people with their all components that are a strategic deep to the Palestinian cause and the Al- Aqsa Mosque.

He stressed that Morocco's relation with Palestine is not a temporary purpose one but it is a legitimate religious brotherly tie.

He affirmed that Morocco despite its geographical remoteness but it is in the hearts of the Arab and Islamic worlds and on the direct convergence with Al Quds and the Al Aqsa in the past, present, and future.

He went on to say that Morocco is at the heart of developments of either the Palestinian cause or the Arab causes.
