His Eminence Al-Sherif Mahmoud El-Sherif, Head of Egypt’s Syndicate of Al-Ashraf, has extended condolences, on behalf of himself and the Syndicate, on the passing of Sheikh Jamal Boutchich, head of the Qadiri Boutchich Sufi order in Morocco, who passed away yesterday.

El-Sherif described Sheikh Jamal Boutchich as a prominent religious figure in Morocco with a long legacy of over six decades in serving Sunni Sufism and spiritual education. He noted that the late sheikh was one of the most distinguished contemporary religious leaders in Morocco, dedicated to reinforcing the values of Sufi conduct based on self-purification and linking spiritual depth to both national and international contexts.

The Head of Egypt’s Syndicate of Al-Ashraf prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the deceased His vast mercy, admit him to His spacious Paradise, and bestow patience and solace upon his family and loved ones.
