Dr. Jad El-Kady, head of the National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research (NIAGR), confirmed that climate changes are responsible for the earthquake that shock both Turkyie and Syria on Feb.6.

Dr. El-Kady slammed expectations of the Dutch scientist, Frank Hujerbets, after the earthquake that struck Turkyie and Tajikistan near the borders with China, and his warning of the first week in March.

The Egyptian scientist depicted the remarks of the Dutch expert as they are baseless, and just quackery, sorcery because his talk revolved around places that are proven within the scope of seismic activities.

Dr. El-Kady clarified on the sidelines of the scientific symposium entitled “Turkyie and Syria Earthquake and a comprehensive view on Egypt and the Middle East, which is organized by the Syndicate of Scientific Professions today, Saturday, at the Syndicate’s headquarters in Nasr City, that about what was raised on social media about the incident of the Alexandria and Salloum coast landslide and linking them to the Turkyie and Syria earthquake is also not correct, as it is just a normal and very natural incident due to rain.

He affirmed that heavy rain caused the land to subside without any link to the earthquake.

He also revealed that climate changes and their impact on the Mediterranean region will not lead to the phenomena of earthquakes and volcanoes.
