Egypt’s renowned archaeologist Zahi Hawass gifted on Tuesday King Ahmed Fouad II, the last king of Egypt, his book titled ‘Life in Paradise’.
During a dinner banquet with Hawass, King Ahmed Fouad II expressed his great passion for the ancient Egyptian civilization.
This came during a meeting at the Royal Club, which was hosted by Dr. Maged Farag, the Egyptian historian, in the presence of many Egyptian and foreign ambassadors.
The book offers the reader unprecedented access to the wonderfully decorated tombs from the New Kingdom that belonged to people who served the Pharoahs. These tombs are situated a stone’s throw away from the Valley of the Kings at the foothill of the Theban massif.
During his visit to Egypt, King Ahmed Fouad II toured the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, Royal Chariots Museum, Prince Muhammad Ali Palace in Manial, Al-Muizz li-Din Allah al-Fatimi, and Sultan Hassan Al-Rifai Streets.
