The death toll of the destructive wildfires in Maui, Hawaii, that raged this week, has increased to 93, authorities announced on Saturday.
The new increase in the number of casualties made it the most fatal wildfire incident the in a century.
Hawaii Governor Josh Green said that Saturday's operations focused on "the loss of life."
Green toured the sites of the wildfires, responding that the death toll of the catastrophe "is going to rise,"
"It will certainly be the worst natural disaster that Hawaii ever faced...We can only wait and support those who are living. Our focus now is to reunite people when we can and get them housing and get them health care, and then turn to rebuilding."
