Egypt's former legend and head coach Hassan Shehata edged closer to lead the Egyptian National Team after the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) sacked Hossam El Badry.
Shehata led the Pharaohs to win three consecutive Africa Cup of Nations titles and made a big history with the Egyptian team.
Egyptian reports claimed the EFA's officials contacted Shehata, who immediately agreed to take the mission.
