HBO Max revealed on Monday the trailer for Harry Potter’s forthcoming 20th-anniversary special, “Return to Hogwarts“.
The special will feature several key members of the Harry Potter franchise coming together for the first time since the franchise ended to celebrate the anniversary of the movie that started it all, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”, which premiered 20 years ago, on January 16, 2002.

The cast members who will be joining the reunion include Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Imelda Staunton, Tom Felton, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Mark Williams, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch, and Ian Hart.
“Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts” is set to premiere on HBO Max on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, 2022.
The special is also set to screen on WarnerMedia’s TBS and Cartoon Network in spring 2022 ahead of the Warner Bros. Pictures of the premiere of “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore”, which debuts on April 15, 2022.
It will feature all-new, in-depth interviews and cast conversations as well as take the audience on a magical first-person journey through the franchise.
The Harry Potter movie franchise is comprised of eight movies that were released between 2001 and 2011. It is among the highest-grossing movie franchises of all time.
The special is produced by Warner Bros. Unscripted Television in association with Warner Horizon at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter.
It is executive produced by Casey Patterson of Casey Patterson Entertainment and Pulse Films.
