U.S. Vice-President-elect Kamala Harris, on Saturday, phoned President-elect Joe Biden and congratulated him in a now-viral clip she posted on Twitter.
The eight-second video has been viewed more than 19 million times. The video showed Harris speaking with Biden over the phone, seemingly while out on a walk or jog.
“We did it, Joe,” she said in the clip with a smile on her face. “You’re going to be the next president of the United States.”

She made history becoming the first woman, and a woman of color, has been elected US vice-president in the White House.
“This election is about so much more than Joe Biden or me,” she said in a statement posted on Twitter shortly after the results. “It’s about the soul of America and our willingness to fight for it. We have a lot of work ahead of us. Let’s get started.”

She was born in Oakland, California, to two immigrant parents - an Indian mother and Jamaica father. Her parents got porced when she was five and, was primarily raised by her mother Shyamala Gopalan, who was a cancer researcher and civil rights activist.
