The Head of the Egyptian Musicians Syndicate Hany Shaker said that the certificate obtained by Star Mohamed Ramadan in acting and singing from the German Cultural Center in Lebanon is not accredited in Egypt, meaning that it is not an official certificate.
Shaker added that "the prize has no value other than buying it, putting it on the wall and taking pictures next to it."
He continued, in statements to one of the Egyptian newspapers that "there are some naive people who believe that Ramadan really received an honorary doctorate in acting and singing, but this is not true, pointing out that such certificates have no value and are not approved."
Ramadan, sparked a state of controversy after publishing a picture of an honorary doctorate in acting and singing performance, which he obtained from the German Cultural Center in Lebanon, in addition to receiving the title of Arab Youth Ambassador.
Meantime, the Lebanese Minister of Culture Abbas Mortada issued a statement about honoring a group of artists with an honorary doctorate in Lebanon yesterday, denying that the ministry granted any honors or a doctorate to any artists.
