Hungarian outfit Veszprém KC have announced the signing of Egyptian international and Zamalek star Yehia El-Deraa to join his countryman Yehia Khaled.
El-Deraa has joined Veszprém on a two-year deal coming from African and Egyptian powerhouse Zamalek. In his last season with the Whites, the player managed to lift the African Super Cup and the domestic league.
Yehia has also participated in IHF Men’s Super Globe with Zamalek and has made great shows with his team.
During the Zamalek clash with Barcelona in the Super Globe, El-Deraa scored six goals for his team to be one of the best players of the match.
The 26-year-old was also one of the Egyptian national team historic squad that participated in the Tokyo Olympics and reached the semi-finals.
In Tokyo, Yehia played in all of Egypt’s games throughout the group and knockout stages, and in his eight appearances, he scored 22 goals for the Pharaohs.
