Handball: Argentina Qualify for Main Round of 2021 World Cup

Argentina have ensured their place in the Main round of the 2021 World Men’s Handball Championship after defeating Bahrain 24-21.

The Tango had the upper hand in the first half with 12-10 win as the match was very tough, and witnessed showing red cards to several players among Bahrain's players.

The tournament is currently being held in Egypt from January 13 to January 31.

Bahrain had lead just 15 minutes into the second half, but the Argentinian team managed to end the game with a 24-21 win.

Argentinian right back Fedrico Pizarro was named the best player of the match.

The Tango are now in the first spot with four points, while Bahrain in the last spot with zero points.

The match was attended by Sports minister Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, IHF president Hassan Mostafa and some Egypt's youth.

About Egypt 2021

The 27th edition of the IHF Men’s World Championship – the first IHF World Championship to be played with 32 teams – will take place in Egypt from 13 to 31 January 2021 at four venues: Cairo Stadium Sports Hall, New Capital Sports Hall, Dr Hassan Moustafa Sports Hall (formerly 6th of October) and Borg Al Arab Sports Hall.

The IHF men’s flagship event will feature 108 games, with the final weekend taking place in Cairo.
