Hamas Urges Trump to Sustain Pressure on Israel to Implement Agreement

On Monday, Hamas called on the U.S. President Donald Trump to continue exerting pressure on Israel to ensure the implementation of the agreement.

The call comes as Gaza grapples with severe humanitarian fallout from a powerful winter storm. Gaza’s Civil Defense said at least 25 people, including children, have been killed due to building collapses and extreme cold, while three others—among them a child and a woman—were injured in storm-related incidents such as falling walls and drowning in rainwater.

Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for Gaza’s Civil Defense, said more than a quarter of a million displaced people have been affected by the harsh weather, marked by strong winds and plunging temperatures.

He further mentioned that tens of thousands of tents were damaged, some shelters were flooded, and the territory’s already devastated infrastructure has left families exposed, with limited capacity to respond due to severe shortages of equipment and resources.
