The Palestinian movement Hamas expressed its deep appreciation for Egyptian efforts under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, as well as the role of mediators in supporting Palestinian endeavors.

In a statement released on Saturday, the movement announced that its delegation concluded an official visit to the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on Friday, following a series of meetings with Egyptian officials, mediators, and various Palestinian factions.

The movement explained that its delegation, joined by representatives of other Palestinian factions, held an extensive meeting with Nickolay Mladenov, the High Representative for Peace, in the presence of mediators from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey.

Hamas added that these meetings are part of the ongoing efforts to complete the implementation of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, in accordance with U.S. President Donald Trump's plan, and to continue addressing the repercussions of the war on the Strip.

Hamas and the Palestinian factions emphasized the necessity of completing the implementation of the first phase of the agreement with all its terms accurately, while stressing the need for the Palestinian National Transitional Committee to begin its work in managing the Gaza Strip immediately.

Hamas reaffirmed its seriousness and positive outlook, alongside other Palestinian factions, regarding the completion and continuation of all stages of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

The movement concluded its statement by noting that it has received an invitation to resume talks in Cairo within the coming days.
